Advanced Battery Manufacturing Workshop

16-17 April
Homerton College, Cambridge, UK – Online

The Advanced Battery Manufacturing Workshop was a hybrid event held on 16–17 April 2026 at Homerton College, University of Cambridge, and online. This two‑day workshop was co-organised and supported by the battery projects: BATTwin, AM4BAT and BatCAT. Around 60 participants attended in person over the two days, with approximately 100 participants joining online.

3D Bioprinting & Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications Online Symposium

The symposium contributed to the promotion of the TriAnkle Project 3D Bioprinting Innovation Ecosystem (Grant agreement 952981). Eighteen participants registered for this event, representing Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The majority of attendees are from the industry.

Workshop on improved barrier films with functionalised nanomaterials

This workshop, held as part of the 2nd Open Day of the HiBarFilm Project, took place at Homerton College in Cambridge on 11 February 2025 as a hybrid event. A total of 42 participants registered, with 25 attending in person and 17 joining online. Most external organisations represented were from industry..

Solid State Li-ion battery for electrical vehicles by additive manufacturing Workshop – UCL, London, UK (in person & online)

10 January 2025

The workshop, organised as part of the AM4BAT Project, was held on 10 January 2025 as a hybrid event in London (UK) and hosted by UCL. A total of 37 participants registered, with 33 attending either in person or online. Most attendees represented industry organisations, reflecting the project’s strong engagement with commercial stakeholders.

Workshop on lightweight, multifactional and digitalised materials for offshore wind and tidal turbines

This workshop on structural health monitoring of composites used in the wind tidal turbine applications is related to the 2nd Open Day of the Carbo4Power project. The Open Day took place on the 10th October 2024 at Homerton College in Cambridge, UK, as a hybrid meeting. This hybrid event attracted 60 participants.

Workshop on personalised 3D bio-printed collagen-and-gelatin implants

A workshop on personalised 3D bio-printed collagen-and-gelatin implants took place as a hybrid meeting, in Cambridge UK at the Clayton Hotel Cambridge, UK on the 23rd January 2024. This workshop was related to the TriAnkle project (Grant Agreement 952981).

More than 60 people registered to participate the event in person and online from 17 countries from Europe, Asia, South America and from the US. External delegates were coming from leading institutions and organisations.

UltraWire Online Workshop

15 July 2021 – Online (Zoom)

CNT Innovation and Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd hosted the UltraWire Workshop to showcase advances in conductive materials solutions, including nano‑carbon and metal‑based composites for applications such as energy transmission, structural health monitoring, and lightweight transport.

The event was linked with the GRAPHOSITE Project, funded by Innovate UK, which develops graphene sensors for defect detection and predictive maintenance in composite materials. Afternoon sessions featured presentations from project partners including Brunel University London, DZP Technologies, Haydale Composite Solutions, TWI, and ADVISE Deta.

Around 30 participants from leading organisations and universities joined, including Airbus, Prysmian Group, SAFRAN, Graphenea, Belden, University of Cambridge, and University of Strathclyde, fostering collaboration between technology developers and industrial end‑users.

BREEZE Innovation Workshop

Indoor Air Treatment Solutions 30 November 2020 – Online (Zoom)

CNT Innovation, on behalf of LEITAT, organised the BREEZE Innovation Workshop on indoor air treatment solutions. The event explored technologies for eliminating gaseous pollution, microorganisms such as SARS‑CoV‑2, and particulate matter, with applications in transport, buildings, and new materials.

Delegates from CEA presented their involvement in the sister project EC2S, supporting collaboration across initiatives. The workshop brought together 28 participants from across Europe, including 19 external delegates, to share insights and build new business connections.

IN‑POWER Dissemination Workshop

Materials & Processes for Thermal Solar Systems 27 October 2020 – Online (Zoom)

The IN‑POWER Dissemination Workshop brought together leading European researchers and industry experts to share the latest advances in materials and processes for thermal solar systems. Hosted online by CNT Innovation, the event highlighted results from major EU projects and encouraged collaboration to drive future renewable energy solutions.

nanoMAT3D Workshop

13 October 2020

CNT Innovation organised the Nanomaterials for 3D Printing workshop (nanoMAT3D) on the  13 October 2020 via  ZOOM Online Platform, in order to support commercialisation of use of nanomaterials in development of polymer and metal based composite technologies for additive manufacturing.

Delegates and speakers attending this workshop come from: Rolls Royce, Whirlpool Corporation, ArcelorMittal, LEITAT, ACCIONA, European Synchrotron (ESRF), Lucideon, Mesa Consult, AM 4 AM, IPC – Innovation Plasturgie Composites, Eurecat, EMPA, Hummink and CIC nanoGUNE, among others.
